Kidnappers. Bullies. Adults who just want to start fights, even with kids. Every parent’s nightmare! We like to focus on the positive benefits of martial arts such as physical fitness, mental clarity, self-confidence, better grades and so forth- but the reality is that there is plenty of danger in the world, and martial arts can help you prepare your child for situations that range from difficult to life-threatening. These five kids found themselves in a bad spot, but because of their martial arts training, they were better equipped to handle what was happening, and may have even saved their own lives!

October is National Bully Prevention month.  At Elite Martial Arts Florida, we are committed to empowering our students and chidren in our community, so in this article we will cover some tips to empower your child with additional tactics to avoid confrontation and improve their confidence.  We teach these coping strategies in our martial arts school and our students find them very helpful.
