Happy Birthday Guro Dan

Posted: July 24, 2011

We at Elite Martial Arts, would like to wish Guro Daniel Inosanto a Happy 75th Birthday.  He is truly an inspiration, and I am proud to be one of his students.

Every time I am fortunate enough to train with him, I am amazed by his caring heart, and his graciousness.  He is the epitome of a great martial artist, and an even better man.

I am blessed to know him, and I am a better man because of his inspiration.

The Passing of a Legend

Posted: July 20, 2011

Thirty Eight years ago today (July 20, 1973) the world mourned the passing of Bruce Lee.  So today, we think not of his death, instead we focus on his life and his achievements.

His achievements in martial arts are legendary but more importantly he was an inspiration to many.  He encouraged out of the box thinking, and challenged others to better themselves.

His influence can still be seen in movies and popular culture to this day.

Congratulations to our first graduating Black Belt Class.  DeWayne Barbee, Peter Belmont, Ian McIntosh, and Dane Rahaman-   Singh.

You all did a phenomenal job on the test.  I am extremely proud of each and every one of you.

The test was extremely long and challenging, and you all rose to the challenge and did an exceptional job.

Korea’s Got Talent

This video really has nothing to do with martial arts, but I posted it because it deals with the triumph of the human spirit. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Savate Seminar

Posted: July 10, 2011

I would just like to thank everyone who attended our Savate Seminar with Professor Salem Assli.  The 2 day seminar was a lot of fun, and more importantly, I know that it will help everyone who attended to become more effective martial artists.

The Professor did a great job of demonstrating just how effective Savate can be.  He went into depth on:  range control, footwork, and form.

We look forward to having the Professor back for another Seminar either later this year, or early next year.
